Stephen Cox started his comedy career in the late 80’s doing what a lot of other comedian’s dared not to....opening for bands. That took him from pubs to clubs to outdoor rock festivals and arenas and finally to the concert stage. Opening for some of Canada’s top acts of their time. From Glass Tiger to Allanah Myles, Barenaked Ladies to Buddy Guy. Stephen has toured with some big names in show business and in the corporate world as well.
Stephen was Master of Ceremonies for the official launch of X-BOX in Canada that drew thousands to the midnight launch. He has toured Canada as the host of Labatt’s Blue Game Show. Stephen can also be seen on television across the country from Comedy at Club 54 on the Comedy Network to appearances on Much-Music and The Mike Bullard Show. He could also be heard on radio anywhere on the XM satellite radio program Laugh Attack.
Over the years, Stephen has accumulated a mass of comedy material that stems from the ordinary to way out there. It is truly Stephen’s enthusiasm and energy that helps drive his shows. He can make everyday occurrences absolutely hysterical and has the insight of a trained psychologist and a headspace that could use one.
